Thanks for joining us again in Behind Greatness. We are with Dr. Aníbal Bueno Amorós today, who joins us from his home in Spain.

Aníbal has travelled to more countries than most people could imagine visiting. He is an educated engineer, a biologist, a business owner, photographer, and documentarian. He is fascinated with disappearing cultures and has dedicated his life to learning about them, documenting them, and creating a bridge of understanding with the developed world.

We learn about many of his adventures—traveling to 70 countries in 39 consecutive months, getting shot at, jailed with no food, walking in on a Taliban girl-school, and the accidental murder of one of his fellow tour guide colleagues. And that is only the surface.

He brings us through his first-hand learning of ancient cultures: their rituals and medicinal practices, their social fabric, and the acceleration of their ultimate disappearance. We discuss beliefs, the link between biology and culture, the meaning of things, the importance of our “libraries,” and his stress on the need for a true cosmovision.
